Rosario Travel guides

The archipelago of Our Lady Of the Rosario, commonly known as The Rosario Islands is located 46 kilometers south east of the city of Cartagena in the northern coast of Colombia. A 50 minute power boat ride through the bay of Cartagena will take you there. Many boats operate throughout the day, generally leaving before 9 a.m., and returning after 4 p.m., seven days a week.

The Islands are coral banks, gradually built up over hundreds of years. The clear waters and fine white coral sand beaches are naturally filtered by the ecosystem. The beauty of the Rosarios offers a strong invitation to swim, snorkel, scuba dive, explore, row, write, meditate, swing in a hammock, jog, laugh and have fun, enjoying this gift of nature, the Rosarios National Aquatic Preserve.
